So about Me…

I’m a proud product of public education! As the daughter of a retired speech and language pathologist you can bet I’ve learned a few things, both good and bad, about the public education system over the years. Having attended public schools from kindergarten to 12th grade and graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Shepherd University, I know first hand that public education granted me opportunities to achieve in life. As a dyslexic with an IEP until 5th grade, I deeply understand the immense struggle, both academically and emotionally, that students without access to the right resources experience. I was both supported and not supported, yen and yang.

As a recent college graduate, I found my way to a job in Baltimore Count and have been here for 20 plus years. Now the mom of two fourth generation district 3 Baltimoreans (seriously the Meredith’s really love it here!) attending a Baltimore County Public School. I want to see our children have the choice to stay in their communities and have access to good jobs! To be a great county we need great schools and we need to have an educated workforce to attract industry.

I have spent twenty years working in corporate and non-profit environments. Working for small to med-sized companies, a Fortune 500 company, and two of the largest autism service providers in the United States, I bring extensive business experience. I have a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration and a Master’s in Human Resource Management. With eight years in sales and seven years in recruiting, I navigated my third career pivot when returning higher education six years ago. Currently, I oversee mentoring programs that support college to career readiness. I found my way to this meaning and impactful work while volunteering with a career readiness non-profit and seeing the potential of today’s youth. Connecting with people to uncover their potential is at the heart of everything I do!
